Thank you for participating in the NALS Show and Convention

As with each NALS conference, it was great fun to see everyone and exchange expertise and enthusiasm for lilies. The 2010 exhibit room contained many intriguing stems and designs to prompt discussion. Over the next few weeks, some photos will be posted on the NALS website, where a list of major award winners is now available.

We launched from the Four Points By Sheraton Hotel and Convention Center, Mars Pennsylvania, just outside the major hub of Pittsburgh. Accommodations, meals, and exhibits were under one roof at the affordable but full-scale convention center.

The symposium hosted speakers from other "galaxies" in the lily world - Europe, and the Washington DC/Batlimore MD area. We studied local lily life on garden tours which highlight Lilium superbum and other species; plus Trumpet and Interdivsional hybrids grown so well by lily society members in the USDA Zone 5 and 6. And don't forget the International Lily Show itself! Beautiful stems from all over the U.S. and Canada: OTs, Orientals from the south and Martagons and Asiatics from the north...and the Artsitic Design section, "Fantasy Excursion to Mars," was colorful and creative.

We thank everyone who attended the conference and made it a special occasion. On to Ontario for 2011!
